At least 3 days prior to each exam, locate a proctor candidate to proctor your exam in person. Students can typically find candidates to proctor the exams for free, 尽管有些监考可能会收取费用. 监考人员必须能使用电脑, email, a printer, 以及将硬拷贝文档转换为PDF的能力. Proctors must also follow the "Guidelines for Exam Proctors."
Provide the proctoring candidate with the Alfred University email addresses for you and your course instructor.
Inform the proctoring candidate to seek email approval from the instructor at least 3 days prior to each exam.
Arrange with the proctor a suitable and quiet exam location in the United States.
Negotiate and pay any costs associated with proctoring services.
Note: The instructor retains the right to deny or revoke the approval of a proctoring candidate for any reason.

Bring a valid photo ID and your Alfred University ID number; otherwise the proctor will not administer the exam.
Your instructor will inform you beforehand about whether a calculator is allowed. 但是，不要携带不必要的物品参加考试. Store any unapproved items out of site while taking the exam. The proctor will temporarily confiscate certain items such as phones and watches.

0% or loss of credit on an exam with no opportunity to retake it.
